27 year-old singer-songwriter Lisbee Stainton has been described as ‘The English Rose with the 8-string guitar’ and been tipped by The Times to be “Bound for glory.” Maverick Magazine described her as ” A unique genre-less artist who is slowly but surely making her global mark.”

Originally from Hampshire, Lisbee has become known for her use of a distinctive 8-string guitar and launched her career in 2007 by becoming the first unsigned artiste to play London’s O2 arena. However, she had recorded her first album, Firefly, in 2006 before going on to study Popular Music at Goldsmiths College.

Since graduating she has recorded a further 3 critically acclaimed albums- Girl on an unmade bed, Go and Word Games.

Soon after playing the O2 Arena, she was discovered by BBC6’s Tom Robinson, who described her as “A serious young talent”. His support subsequently led to Lisbee’s music being playlist by BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 6. Since then she has toured with such notable artists as Joan Armatrading, Paul Brady, Gretchen Peters, Paul Carrack and Seth Lakeman, who was so impressed that he invited her to join his band in 2012.

Lisbee is currently writing and recording at Monnow Valley Studios in Rockfield for the 2016 release of her forthcoming multimedia project.

Definitely an artist to watch. Her voice is beautiful and her music draws you in. Hope you all enjoy.
